We will separate these at $3,500 each chair. This is a gorgeous pair of similar but not identical antique channel back mahogany carved tub chairs, plus a matching footstool and two pillows. These have all been newly reupholstered with fine fabrics: embroidered pomegranates from F. Schumacher (called Persephone) and cerise (cherry red/raspberry) velvet from GPJ Baker. Completely refinished in a walnut stain lacquer and built up with all new materials, including cotton and horsehair stuffings in the chairs, applied in the traditional manner for authenticity. The coiled springs have been tied 8 ways. Each seat cushion has a foam core with a luxurious feather/down envelope. The carvings feature lattice work on one, and faces on the other. Each has a carved crest on the top. French style cabriole legs with whorled feet on one. The matching footstool has the same finish and fabric, with new foam inside. Footstool measures 29" long x 18" wide in the middle x 16" height. Pillows have concealed zippers on the bottoms.
